relaxation, leisure, educational or cultural activities
Recreation, whether in the form of relaxation, leisure, educational or cultural activities, is an integral part of the Zen experience. Surrounding the Resort, some of North Bali’s charms and secret wonders await you; dolphins playing at sunrise just off the coast in the Bali Sea, a visit to the waterfall at Munduk combined with trekking in rice fields or a chance to rejuvenate in the hot springs of Banjar and eco-forest walk to meditate at Bali’s oldest Buddhist Vihara temple. The places to see and activities to do are diverse, and we can organise for you to get involved in as many or as few as you wish.

Ubud
Ubud
Ubud is the island’s preeminent centre (and arguably in the whole of Asia) for fine arts, dance and music. With its enchanting market, craft and art shops, and lounge-cafes, this place is well worth a visit to experience the richness of Balinese culture. Situated a mile from Ubud, this garden was established to safeguard the island’s precious flora and enhance environmental consciousness. Pathways and steps join five hectares of natural ravine which include an Orchid Garden, a vast collection of ferns, palms, bamboos and tropical trees, Bali’s first Maze, an Islamic Garden and other features. A two hour journey by car from Zen resort gives you a full day in Ubud.
Mount Batur Volcano and Trekking
Mount Batur Volcano and Trekking
Breathtaking views await you at this majestic volcano (one of three on the Island), which was formed as we know it today in 1917. It is 1717 meters above sea level, and guards Lake Batur which sits tranquil at its base. It is an ideal day’s excursion from Zen Resort.
